Movie Maker Seeking Contribution to Fundraising Campaign

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Based on the onerous lives of abused lesbian from South Africa and other countries where men rape lesbian women as a means of making them straight, a Californian movie making company, Lapdog Entertainment has taken an initiative of making a documentary film named, "End of the Rainbow". Lapdog Entertainment has started a crowd funding project to raise fund for the movie in Indiegogo (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/end-of-the-rainbow--2/x/5058384  )

In Africa and some parts of the world, lesbian are being treated as sick sexually addicted. They are being isolated from the mainstream lifestyle of their respective societies. Some men having leaded by a misconception “Lesbians can be returned to her normal life if they are met with a man. Being inspired by this concept, some opportunity seekers assign themselves to the most abhorrent activity like rape. Day by day the level is climbing high and for these girls leading normal life is becoming impossible.

According to Sherry Harris, End of the Rainbow producer, "In South Africa, lesbians are routinely attacked to “cure” them of their sexual orientation." "It is my hope that this film will bring awareness to this despicable act of corrective rape and that it will become a hate crime."

Thomas Gibson, Director, End of the Rainbow, "There are numerous corrective rape stories. Lesbian women from Cape Town to townships throughout the countryside to the city of Johannesburg. It is a rape culture and there is escalating violence against lesbians."

“Through this film we will put a spotlight on this topic for the world to finally see this tragic practice. With your support, we will provide universities, colleges and libraries across the world a film that will be a learning tool to help educate people about the effect these atrocities have on many lives.” He added.
