Consigning Women Handbags Grand Opening Celebration December 5th

PORTLAND, Ore. - Nov. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Portland, Oregon – Consigning Women, a Lake Oswego-based women’s designer resale store, celebrates the grand opening of its second location, Consigning Women Handbags, in Portland’s Pearl District at a ribbon-cutting on December 5, 2013 at 4 pm. The First Thursday event will include Felicia Sugarman Rosenthal, a local representative of Stella & Dot, and a tasting of Cognac Park spirits.

Owners Stephanie Sparkman and Peter Stack’s passion for resale designer apparel inspired them to spread the consignment gospel by expanding into the Pearl District. “We felt the Pearl District is a centralized location for Portland shoppers and tourists who appreciate authentic, high-end designer merchandise. Our cornerstone store in Lake Oswego serves the outer Southwest audience, so we wanted to expand our offerings. Since the nature of consignment is a reflection of our neighborhoods, we look forward to what our Pearl District consigners will add to the mix, too.” Consignors will be able to submit clothing on consignment for the Lake Oswego store at the Pearl location, as well.

Consigning Women provides a 60% return on a handbag’s selling price and 50% on other merchandise above $50. Consigners may bring their clean, rarely worn items to either store at any time during regular store hours to be evaluated for consignment. Consigning Women also offers a free service called Closet Concierge, where consigners may make an appointment for Consigning Women to come to them, saving them a trip to the store. After consigners complete a consignment agreement, their items are logged in a computerized inventory system. Consigners receive credit upon the sale of an item and may check their account balance at any time through the store’s website. Unsold items are available to be picked up upon request.

Tuesday through Friday 11 am to 7 pm; Saturday 10 am to 6 pm; Sunday Noon to 5 pm; closed Mondays.

Consigning Women in Lake Oswego is open:

Monday to Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm; Thursday 10 am to 8 pm; Friday 10 am to 6 pm; Saturday 10 am to 6 pm; Sunday Noon to 4 pm.
