Our Toyota Dealer Serving Wilkes Barre Presents Coaches vs. Cancer

SCRANTON, Pa. - Nov. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Today, it is not uncommon to know someone who is battling cancer. A disease that affects so many, our Toyota dealer serving Wilkes Barre is joining with the American Cancer Society on November 17^th to present Coaches vs. Cancer. Through fundraising a thrilling yet powerful event, our community can come together to fight back against cancer.

On November 17^th, our employees, shoppers and other members of our community will head to Scranton Prep High School to participate in a thrilling event that will help to raise the funding needed to fight back against cancer. Before Tip Off, Dunkin’ Donuts will be sponsoring a breakfast at 9:00am.

To raise awareness at Coaches vs. Cancer, attendees will hear from Bucknell University Head Coach, Dave Paulsen, as he explains more about the event and partnership between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. In addition to hearing from Dave Paulsen, attendees will hear stories from cancer survivors and their caregivers.

Toyota of Scranton Fights Back Against Cancer By Presenting Coaches vs. Cancer

Coaches vs. Cancer offers coaches a unique way to fight back against a sadly familiar disease. Using natural leadership skills, coaches can participate in Coaches vs. Cancer events nationwide, serve as a local or national spokesperson to raise awareness for both the event and the American Cancer Society, advocate for cancer-related public policy issues and raise funds and awareness for cancer prevention.

Each year in the United States, more than one million people will be diagnosed with cancer. A disease that affects this many people in our county, it’s important to raise both awareness and funding to get rid of this disease. In 2008, the National Institutes of Health estimated that cancer cost the United States $201.5 billion. This is why it is so important to raise funding to combat these costs and assist those dealing with this terrible disease.
