SAN DIEGO - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- A San Diego author is raising capital on Kickstarter to launch and promote a new book about his unbelievable journey to every ballpark in baseball.  Cody Kaufman, 26, slept in 56 different locations, rode a Greyhound bus nearly 12,000 miles, and completed his big league road trip to all thirty ballparks for just $2,563.

A year removed from his ridiculous 2012 adventure, Kaufman is attempting to raise $5,000 on the crowdfunding website Kickstarter to launch his book nationally for the holiday season (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/4659797/30-tickets-to-paradise).  He has until November 12th to reach his goal; otherwise, all pending transactions that pledge support for his project will become voided.  If Kaufman's project reaches its funding goal, the money will be utilized to support production costs and marketing expenses as he advertises to the general public for upcoming holiday shopping season.

His book, 30 Tickets To Paradise, is a true story about his exploits aboard a Greyhound bus while visiting all thirty ballparks in Major League Baseball.  Along the way, Kaufman "couchsurfs" across America while exposing the innate kindness of complete strangers he meets in each city.  His stories showcase his embodiment as the quintessential all-American, baseball-obsessed vegabond who is willing to risk everything in pursuit of a lifelong dream.

In the book, Kaufman makes the critical decision to ditch his redundant life in Los Angeles before buying a 60-day Greyhound bus pass for only $564.  As he is hilariously delivered from one city to the next, Kaufman vicariously describes loony bus passengers, sleeping on random couches, meeting local celebrities, instigating practical jokes, sprinting the bases at Tiger Stadium, watching a tragic death unfold, and more.  With both comedic and dramatic chapters, each stop features an unpredictable story followed by a categorical ranking index that brings readers along for the ultimate American adventure.  In the end, after a road trip disaster nearly jeopardizes his goal, Kaufman gains spiritual enlightenment as he achieves his lifelong dream in climactic fashion.

Although working as a self-published author, Cody Kaufman has also released 30 Tickets To Paradise through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and most digital e-book platforms.  For more information about 30 Tickets To Paradise and Cody Kaufman, visit http://www.30TicketsToParadise.com.
