Follow on Google News | Kentucky Book Fair to Feature Santa ClausThe 32nd annual Kentucky Book Fair will feature an unusual author amongst its numbers. Santa Claus will make an appearance and will sign his novels about the North Pole and do Photos with Santa to help the Fair which funds grants for libraries.
Joe Moore as he is more officially known, has written and published two novels in the trilogy with the third to be released this coming January. He not only writes about Santa Claus and the North Pole, but he spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over the Southeast in his custom made suits as he will in this event. Moore is an expert in all things Santa Claus and does interviews as Santa discussing events in the North Pole and hot Christmas toys for kids. The Book Fair is Kentucky's premer literary event, about 150 authors and between 4,000 and 5,000 patrons attend during this one day. 2013 marks the 32nd annual of this amazing venue. Book readers and those looking to fulfill their shopping lists will line the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Kentucky to meet their favorite authors and find new ones to explore. And this year Santa will be doing photos for parents with a portion of the proceeds going to the Kentucky Book Fair to help fund grants to Kentucky school and public libraries for local book purchasing and other literacy-related causes. Moore says regarding his books: Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles begins the trilogy by showing how the elves and the North Pole came into being. It actually takes place from the late 18th century and proceeds through the generations and centuries until modern time. It shows how the elves chose Santa Claus and how the various legends came to exist. Faith, Hope & Reindeer is a present day snapshot of a week in the North Pole where several families that are struggling to do good have lost their faith and hope from the problems of their lives. They receive an all-expense paid vacation but they don't know their final destination. They end up in the North Pole where Santa and the village restore their faith and hope and they learn that miracles still exist. This book is being made into a major motion picture and is scheduled for Christmas, 2015 release. Like the other authors his books will be sold through the bookstore and Moore will be autographing his works. Moore commented that these stories will “make the perfect holiday present and put the meanest Scrooge into a joyful Christmas spirit.” More about Joe Moore and his books can be found at http://thenorthpolepress.com.
