Health Service Executive and Aurion Learning win Brandon Hall Gold Award

BELFAST, U.K. - Nov. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The Health Service Executive (HSE) in partnership with Aurion Learning have won a prestigious Brandon Hall Gold Award for Best in Learning Technology Implementations 2013. The Excellence in Learning award is for the HSE’s online learning and development portal HSELanD.

Available to over 100,000 healthcare professionals within the HSE, health care and voluntary organisations throughout the Republic of Ireland, HSELanD provides a central source of high quality online training, learning and development.

HSELanD was developed in partnership with online learning specialists Aurion Learning, to meet the changing needs of the HSE and deliver efficiencies.  Based on the award winning NetDimensions Learning platform that is used to administer, monitor and assess the impact of the learning and training initiatives, HSELanD includes:

· Over 100 E-Learning resources and programmes.

· A personal development plan (PDP) workbook allowing users to plan their learning and development over time.

· 360 degree competency assessment tool that recommends learning interventions.

· 11 collaborative learning hubs to facilitate knowledge sharing between multidisciplinary groups.

Evaluated by an international panel of veteran, independent industry experts, HSELanD was singled out for the positive impact on the organisation and its learners.

Since its launch in 2007, HSELanD has generated significant cost savings.  In the past year alone, usage and online registration of HSELanD has increased by 27% and is currently used by over 70% of all HSE employees and staff in funded health care organisations throughout Ireland.
