Mountaintop Acupuncture Expands Into New Denver Tech Center Office

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Mountaintop Acupuncture opens its expanded office in the DTC, serving Denver and the South Metro area. The new location is 7120 Orchard Road in Centennial and Greenwood Village. Hours are by appointment Mondays through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, and Saturday 12 am-4 pm. Owned by husband-and-wife team Tom Messina and Carol Braverman, they are joined by friend and colleague Jonathan Weiner. All  are licensed acupuncturists with extensive training (4,000 hours) and a combined 30-plus years of experience treating patients. Their practice of Eastern medicine is viewed through the biomedical lens. All have worked in hospitals and private MD practice settings, in addition to private practice.

Patients treated by Mountaintop's acupuncturists can expect the full spectrum of TCM modalities to be implemented: acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas, massage therapy, cupping, tui na, and more. As treatment progresses, patients are armed with information on sustaining health through diet, exercise, attitude, and consistent lifestyle recommendations.

“Passion for living a healthy lifestyle led me to a career in health care in New York, and to take that healthy lifestyle to a new level, my wife and I have chosen to live in Colorado,” says Tom Messina, LAc, MS, DiplOM, LMT.

Tom Messina is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist, and is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), the standard of proficiency in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and associated modalities. He has a M.S. of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a degree in Massage Therapy from the Swedish Institute, and a certification in CranioSacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute. Typically, Tom uses several styles within a treatment session.

Carol Braverman is a licensed acupuncturist and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has a M.S. and B.S. from Touro College’s Graduate Program in Oriental Medicine, and a B.A. in philosophy and English from Union College. She is certified in the treatment of oncology by the Integrative Medicine Service division of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and has advanced studies in treating women's conditions.

Jonathan Weiner is a licensed acupuncturist and a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He has a M.S. and B.S. from Touro College’s Graduate Program in Oriental Medicine, and attended Rutgers University. Jonathan practiced in Jerusalem several years before settling in Boulder, CO.
