COSTA MESA, Calif. - Nov. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- South Coast Behavioral Health, an advanced and extensive outpatient treatment center in Orange County, California, providing rehabilitation for those struggling with excessive use of alcohol and other drugs, chemical dependency and mental health disorders, recently announced expanded IOP in view of state licensing approval.  The Costa Mesa-based treatment facility is now positioned as one of Southern California's most comprehensive substance abuse and mental health rehabilitation resources.

Having originally set out to offer a far more effective and in-depth outpatient drug, alcohol and mental health treatment service in Orange County, South Coast Behavioral Health's recent approval for expanded state licensing has spurred a broadened network of services including psychiatric services, medication management and, most recently, a highly affordable alternative to traditional residential and inpatient treatment center services.

The facility’s medical director, Dr. Nicole Poliquin, M.D. a board certified psychiatrist and neurologist with Board Certifications in Psychiatry and Neurology and Addiction Medicine (ABAM), states: "Our treatment model allows us to strive for new heights in stabilization of these conditions and to improve the prognosis for people in recovery. We aim to shatter what I personally consider unacceptable success rates in patients with co-occurring conditions, which are general in our industry."

As stated on the facility website, the treatment approaches center on holistic and clinical perspectives that have been shown to improve the outcome of treatment. By integrating Dr. Poliquin's medically recognized psychiatric approaches within the overall therapeutic regimen, those with dual-diagnosis/co-occurring disorders finally may have hope that healing can actually take place. Recent medical advances have shown that family intervention and continuity of care, as well as an individualized treatment plan, provide a better outcome in the recovery from substance abuse and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Poliquin adds: "Unlike most typical outpatient treatment centers here in Orange County, our array of rehabilitation services are aimed not only to serve those persons with addiction and alcoholism as their primary concern, but also at those with co-occurring mental health disorders such as PTSD, generalized anxiety, clinical depression, ADHD and much more."

Beginning in November of 2013, South Coast Behavioral Health will also be offering a very affordable alternative to traditional residential-inpatient treatment. South Coast Behavioral Health will team up with a high end Guest House and will provide a shuttle service for their clients to reach the IOP and attend their group and individual therapeutic sessions.

The current and newly expanded lineup of recovery services now includes: Intensive Outpatient, Day Treatment, Case Management (including home visits); Psychiatric Services, including TMS; Psychotherapy including CBT, DBT and EMDR; Medication Management, and more.
