The Changing Seasons of Long Island Wildlife

Local naturalists will bring the changing of seasons alive, as you explore Long Island Wildlife

PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. - Nov. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Ever mark changing seasons by holidays and birthdays? Naturalists also mark the changing of seasons with wildlife encounters.

Deer rut  in the fall. Wild turkeys mate in the spring. Chick-a-dees flock in pine trees during winter months when few birds can be seen. Monarch Butterflies migrate south in late summer.

Training is fun, exciting, rewarding, and flexible. Be part of a greater purpose, as we are a nationally recognized program. The Quality Parks Master Naturalist certification program is based on Long Island, and we accomodate all skill levels.

Learn about the comings and goings of both large and small mammals, and about insects and bees, and about marine life. Program is offered year round. Local experts will train you to become totally aware of Nature. Enjoy and experience more life, when you are outdoors. You can take one single session on wildlife, the Orientation, or simply enjoy all our program offers.
