DC Makeup Artist Beautifies Breast Cancer Survivor For BET Special

Washington, DC (October 31, 2013)- Makeup Artist Monique Nicole exhibited stunning makeup artistry in a recently aired Breast Cancer Special on BET.com; featuring her friend 24 year old DC Public School Teacher and Breast Cancer survivor Ashley Conway.
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, BET is airing a web series “Breast Cancer Made Me Stronger” which documents the stories of women from different walks of life and their journey to healing after diagnosis. The recently aired episode featured a glimpse into the life of a young survivor and Washingtonian educator.
“When Ashley contacted me and asked me to do her makeup, I felt so honored to take part in such a life changing and inspirational moment for her. I am so very proud of her, she fought and she won. My goal was to capture the beauty within a hero and paint her face the color of victory and I believe I did just that!” Monique Nicole said.
