Granger Chevrolet Hits Grand Slam for Area Youth Baseball
Granger Chevrolet wraps up 2013 baseball season partnership with Bridge City Little League
By: Granger Chevrolet
“Chevrolet has a long history with baseball, and we’re glad we were able to bring that tradition to our youth leagues in Orange,” said Ralf Mims, Community Activist for Granger Chevrolet.
Granger Chevrolet partnered with the Bridge City Little League because of the league’s proximity to the dealership. Equipment donated by Granger Chevrolet included items such as equipment bags, baseball buckets, practice hitting nets, umpire ball bags, batting tees and Chevrolet Youth Baseball T-shirts. In addition, the dealership helped donate either a Chevy Malibu or a Chevy Traverse as the grand prize for a free regional sweepstakes. The winner of the sweepstakes selected their choice between the two vehicles.
“We truly enjoy being involved with the classic American tradition of youth baseball,” said Mims, of Granger Chevrolet. “Sponsoring Bridge City Little League gave us the opportunity to show our commitment to the youth and families in Orange, and we are thrilled to have achieved such positive results for the community.”
In 2013, more than 1,600 Chevrolet dealers participated in Chevy Youth Baseball. Since the program began in 2006, Chevrolet has made a positive impact on more than 3.6 million children by bringing a unique experience to their community.
