South Jersey Wants To Let The Dogs Out

Oct. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, is joining with South Jersey animals lovers for the 1^st Annual Southern NJ Bark Now for Autism Speaks, a Dog and Family Friendly Walk, will take place on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Cooper River Park Stadium in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Check-in is 9:00 am and the walk will start at 10:30 am.

All event proceeds will support Autism Speaks’ work locally here in South Jersey, to increase awareness about the growing autism health crisis, fund innovative autism research and family services, and advocate for the needs of individuals with autism and their families in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden Counties and beyond. Autism spectrum disorder is now diagnosed in 1 in every 88 children, including 1 in 54 boys, making it the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.

Bark Walk Now for Autism Speaks is a unique fundraising event that offers a safe and fun day for families impacted by autism. The day includes a scenic Dog Walk, light refreshments for both humans and their furry friends, Autism Speaks Family Services, Pet Friendly Vendors, and Bark Now for Autism Speaks merchandise tents.
