Minister Michael Burton Prepares to Release New Single "Break Away"

Break Away:  Two words used by Minister Michael Burton to best describe his remarkable story and testimony of his journey from the captivity of sin, strongholds, and addictions to a life of freedom, destiny, and salvation. Burton came into the knowledge of his gift to write music at a very low place in his life. "I was angry & broken, and I took it out on God," he says. "Church was the last thing on my mind. Within one month God had stripped me of everything. Almost everything I owned was stolen, my car was repossessed. I was homeless. One night as I was sleeping on the ground of a warehouse, the lyrics to the first song God gave me, "Holding on" began to come to me. And I've been writing music every since."

The 10-track project entitled "BREAK AWAY", is produced by Levi Bennett of BLIVE Production, and is slated for Spring, 2014. With this Indie Gospel release, Michael Burton will display his talents as a prolific songwriter who can deliver relevant songs that speak grace, hope and truth to a public that is in need of these qualities during today’s trying times.

Break Away also showcases Burton’s flair for writing songs that cover a wide range of themes—each one speaking to someone’s need.  Beginning with the opening proclamation, “Holding On,” to “Destiny is Waiting,” which Burton say's best describes his courage to break away from his past to walk into his destiny.

The title track "Break Away" will be released November 12, 2013 (x-apple-data-detectors://5/). It is a relevant and irresistible hit song that not only jump starts the project, but will make the listener stand up and shout out the name of Jesus.

Michael Burton continues to solidify his place in today’s continually changing gospel music landscape with the release of "Break Away."  “If I start to look at the condition of the circumstances—how busy I am and how much I have on my plate—that’s when I will start to sink," he says. "But I don’t look at it. I continue to do what God has called me to do and trust that He’s going to give me strength and provision to be able to accomplish it.”
