Price Chopper Teams Up With Section III High School Football Sponsoring the Championships (Syracuse)

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Syracuse, NY – October 28, 2013– Price Chopper in cooperation with School Sports Media™, Inc. , a leader in sponsored school sports marketing, announced today that it has agreed for the 2^nd year in a row to renew their sponsorship of the Section III High School Football Championships at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY.

“Price Chopper is pleased and excited to once again support the tradition of high school football in New York State, and help bring the best teams in Section II to the Sectional Championships. We look forward to following the teams in their bids for the state tournament,” said Pam Cerrone, Manager of Community Relations.

Participation in high school sports increased for the 24th consecutive year in 2012-13 and passed the 7.7 million mark for the first time, according to the annual High School Athletics Participation Survey conducted by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Eleven-player football remains the top sport for boys with 1,086,627 participants in 2012-13

Section III Athletics is the largest region affiliated with the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.  With thirty three championship events, six competitive leagues, and a number of affiliate sports properties which make up Section III Athletics.
