Turks & Caicos Islands : Middle Caicos moving forward - update for 2013-2014 tourism season

CONCH BAR, Turks & Caicos Islands - Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- October is here and everything is go on Middle Caicos. Daniel's Cafe by the Sea is open, with a great new look following renovations over the summer, new staff in place, new specials and a new event calendar for 2013/2014. Once again, Daniel's Cafe has received the Trip Advisor award for excellence - now three years in a row : 2011,2012 and 2013!!  Still going strong with the best cracked conch in TCI and fabulous local pan-fried fish, new specials  include conch burgers, lobster fritters, fried chicken, fevergrass tea, fish tacos and more – each day different.

Ever expanding as a home grown family business, Daniel and Devon Forbes are joined by Cameisha Been Gardiner, their second cousin.  Cammy grew up in Conch Bar village  and recently married, now settled in North Caicos, so it is perfect fit!  For this season, weekly events will include Burgers, Dogs & Dominoes on Thursdays, and every Saturday night  will be reserved for a great 4 course Lobster Lovers special  dinner – which must be booked ahead please. December 14^th is the date set for a great beach day, complete with model sailboats on the water, food and fun at Bambarra beach.

And looking ahead Daniel’s Cafe by the Sea is a great venue for a special staff party, with getting here a fun adventure , plus great food, music and atmosphere to warmly welcome you  - so plan now to bring your folk here for Christmas cheer. The famous New Years Day five course Lobster Extravaganza at Daniels Café is always popular, so book early to start your new year right on January 1, 2014. The Middle Caicos Co-op handcraft outlet was repainted and the new display is sumptuous, offering a huge variety of locally made gifts, pushing TCI straw work forward with new designs. Recently, the first ever export order of TCI straw-work was completed, with 200 beach bags made from silvertop plait shipped  to California in September.  The production through the Conch Bar outlet continues to grow, with designs for clutch bags, Ipad cases, phone cases, eyeglass holders, beach bags, grocery bags and more…… It is a great new opportunity for hotels and resorts to design their own signature straw work. Additionally, the Middle Caios Co-op has become involved with wedding and special event planners to ensure a local TCI souvenir is incorporated in to the festivities.
