New Book uses Vintage Postcards to Share Manchester’s Past

Mother and daughter team up to pen new book sharing the history of the area
 
Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- The newest addition to Arcadia Publishing’s Postcard History Series is Manchester from local authors Jane Banks Campbell and Lori Jill Smith with a foreword by Weldon Payne. The book boasts more than 200 vintage images and postcards of memories of days gone past.

Manchester, the seat of Coffee County, Tenn., was established in 1836 and named after Manchester, England. The town is located midway between Nashville and Chattanooga and sits on the Highland Rim at the foot of the Cumberland Plateau, where the two forks of the Duck River converge at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park.
