Tata Elxsi reports over ten-fold jump in Q2 profit

BANGALORE, India - Oct. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Highlights
Consolidated operating income of Rs 189.97 cr  for Q2, FY14, as compared to Rs 155.36  cr for Q2 FY 13 an increase of  22.3 % .
The revenue from the Software Development and Services Segement rose to  Rs 172.40 cr  from Rs. 136.33  Cr an increase of 26.5%  over Q2 FY13
The  profit  before tax (PBT)   rose to  Rs 30.07 cr  from Rs 2 .89 cr , an increase of  over 10 times   compared to  Q2 FY13.
The  profit  after tax (PAT)   rose to  Rs 19.93 cr  from Rs 1.81 cr , an increase of  10 times   over Q2 FY13.

Tata Elxsi, a global design company and part of the $ 100 billion Tata group reported consolidated revenues of Rs 189.97 crore for the quarter  ending 30th September, 2013, indicating a growth of  22.3 %  YoY (Rs 155.36  in Q2 FY13) .

Its  Software Development and Services Segment , grew by 26.5 % to Rs 172.4 crore in Q2 FY14  and the  profit  after tax (PAT)  rose to  Rs 19.93 crore  from Rs 1.81 crore , an increase of  10 times   over  Q2 FY13.

Commenting on the Q2,FY14, performance, Mr. Madhukar Dev, MD & CEO said“The company has registered an excellent growth across services and geographies.
