Evan Guthrie Law Firm Talks Lawyers At Law Day Event At Burke High School In Charleston, SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Oct. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina spoke at a Law Day event at Burke High School in Charleston, SC on Wednesday May 1^st 2013. Law Day is an event and day that is celebrated across the United States to examine the role of law in the foundation of America and the importance of law in society. Attorney Evan Guthrie was on a panel of speakers that addressed several different classes of high school students in different sessions. Other speakers on the panel with Mr. Guthrie included a public defender for the 9^th Circuit of South Carolina, a law professor from the Charleston School of Law, and a police officer from the City of Charleston Police Department. Attorney Guthrie and the other speakers talked about their various experiences in law careers and some of the challenges and triumphs that they go through every day. Mr. Guthrie answered various questions from the students that participated in the event that ranged from how one starts their own law firm, how to deal with a difficult client, and what a lawyer typically gets compensated in a typical year. Attorney Guthrie was able to stay at the event throughout its entirety and speak to many classes full of students.

Mr. Guthrie was able to return to speak at Burke High School after speaking other events and classes at the school including their career symposium. Attorney Guthrie enjoys being able to speak at Burke and give back to the Charleston, SC community. Mr. Guthrie looks forward to being able to come back to Burke High School again in the future and hopefully inspire  students to consider a legal career and learn more about law and how it interacts with society.
