Congressman Grucci Retires From Fireworks Business With A Blast

BAYPORT, N.Y. - Oct. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- On October 11, 2013 the sky over Bellport NY glowed with rainbow colors as fireworks by Grucci soared into the sky in a final salute to it's legendary leaders including Felix Grucci Jr. the former U.S. Congressman and Brookhaven Town Supervisor.

  The display was the finishing touch to an elegantly elaborate celebration held at the posh Bellport Country Club which also honored the Congressman's sister Grucci Fireworks President Donna Grucci Butler and her husband company VP Phil Butler all of whom were officially retiring from an active role  in the fabled company.

  To provide a reminiscent overtone to the evenings ceremonies, the Grucci's hired Long Island entertainer John Cannella known professionally as "Johnny The Oldies Singer" http://www.oldiessinger.com Johnny created a palpably nostalgic ambiance with songs of Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Engelbert, Dean Martin, Billy Joel and Bobby Darin as well as golden oldies from the play "Jersey Boys" . He also acted as master of ceremonies and DJ'ed the evenings cocktail, dinner and dance music as well as choreographing the ceremonial music for the award presentations.

  During the long tenure of the three officials, including Mr. Grucci, Fireworks by Grucci Inc. rocketed to the intertnational prominence that it enjoys today.

  The party was attended by nearly two hundred guests and included numerous VIP dignitaries who paid homage to Congressman Grucci and  Mr. and Mrs Butler.

  Mr Grucci, the CFO of Grucci Fireworks, served  in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2003 after his stent as Brokkhaven Town Supervisor from 1995-2000. He is the son of Grucci pioneering legend Felix Grucci senior the man who laid the groundwork for the huge success of the company through his pyrotechnic innovations.

  Commenting on his role in the lavish celebration, Cannella stated, "I'm grateful and honored that out of all the talent available in the New York area that the Grucci family chose me to entertain at this historic company/ family event."

  Long Island singer John Cannella or "Johnny The Oldies Singer"htttp:// www.oldiessinger.com entertains at weddings, holiday, retirement, reunion, birthday and anniversary parties and all seniors and corporate events. He is best known for his New York act entitled "Songs Of The Greats" in which he does songs of Sinatra, Bennett, Engelbert, Elvis, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond, Johnny Mathis and many more including the group doowop songs of the great oldies groups. Johnny also performs Christmas songs for holiday celebrations and office parties and does fundraiser charity work for organizations like St Jude Childrens Hospital like his recent Central Park production entitle " Make Music For A Cure"
