Splat go the Gourds during Pumpkin Chunkin’ Week

Oct. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Whether you use the Silo Drop, the Zip Wire Sploosh or Pumpkin Drop Zone, there will be some Pumpkin Chunkin’ (http://www.greatcountryfarms.com/index.php/event-calendar/annual-events/pumpkin-chunckin.html) going on November 2^nd through November 5^th at Great Country Farms. Bring your leftover jack-o-lantern or stock up on other squash and let ‘em fly. Create your own team toss or group battles to see who can create the most artistic mess. The Farm welcomes birthday parties, sports teams, and scout troops to roam the farm and enjoy the Giant Pumpkin Jumpin’ Pillow and other unique attractions.

Smashing pumpkins can work up an appetite so head on over to the Roosterauntfor ice cold drinks and all natural burgers, hotdogs, BBQ sandwiches and more. Specialties include the classic coleslaw, freshly made Kettle Korn, and delicious seasonal pies. The Country Store carries fresh produce and holiday décor and is offering pasture raised, hormone-free turkeys for your Thanksgiving Table. Turkeys are in the 13-16lb range and are $5.50/lb. They will be available for pick up at Great Country Farms November 27, 2013 10am-5pm. Supplies are limited and orders close November 9th.
