Richard Hartnig Joins International Tax Consulting Team at Schwartz International

ATLANTA - Oct. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Schwartz International recently added Richard Hartnig to the Atlanta-based firm. He will provide international tax advisory services to the firm’s growing customer base. Richard advises multinational corporations of all sizes on the tax aspects of cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, financings, cash repatriations and intercompany transactions. He has provided international tax counsel to large, publicly traded companies, including several Fortune 1000 businesses, counseling them on tax-advantaged debt structurings in 20 different countries. He also works extensively with both U.S. private equity funds investing outside the country and with non-U.S. funds investing in the U.S.

After beginning his career in the office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Washington, D.C., Richard worked with such notable firms as Troutman Sanders and PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than a decade each. He then spent three years with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan after which he joined Schwartz International. His depth of experience bolsters the ability of Schwartz International to provide its growing company and individual customer base with comprehensive international tax and business consulting.
