Rail + River launches ecommerce site selling ties for men who like wearing ties

NEW YORK - Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Rail + River is a new menswear accessories brand created by Jon Sukarangsan, an NYC-based entrepreneur looking to introduce guys to his line of handcrafted ties made in the USA. Jon has worked in fashion houses such as Ralph Lauren as well as powerful Advertising/PR agencies like Ogilvy and Edelman.

"Men today wear ties as an expression of personal style, not a statement of formality," says Sukarangsan, who started the company to cater to men looking for neckwear that was a little different, and definitely modern, but still grounded in quality American craftsmanship. "Our ties are designed and manufactured right here in the Tri-State Area, with fabrics sourced from all over the world." Rail + River's initial Fall collection features ties constructed in unique cottons and wools -rather than the traditional silk - often accented with vintage fabrics. Because of this, some of the ties are limited editions.

Right now the ties are available at rail-river.com, but Sukarangsan says he plans to expand into other men's accessories including pocket squares, tie bars, and leather goods.
