NEW YORK - Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Consider this conference as a dating event for start-ups and investors. The old way of raising capital is not just working anymore. This event intends to bring early-stage companies in contact with investors by means of using innovative ways of raising capital.

Many innovative ideas fail to take off because of lack of funding during the early-stage. “The primary funding for many businesses is often the most difficult to raise, as traditional methods like banks often see the startup as not stable enough to risk a large amount of money,” says David Drake, founder and chairman of The Soho Loft.

The crowdfunding revolution continues to grow at a rapid pace today as this new means of raising capital aims to give start-ups the much-needed funding to get their businesses off the ground. “We are hopeful that this new method of raising capital can help the new generation of entrepreneurs raise the capital they need to succeed in their businesses,” adds Drake.

Speaking on the Crowdfunding panel are:

Michael Faulkner, Founder and CEO of SeedUps, UK and Ireland’s first crowdfunding site for entrepreneurs.

William Scheckel, Director of TreveriMarket SA, the global private investment platform.

William Skelley, Founder of iFunding, a real estate investment platform that uses technology to make private real estate investing simple.

David Borish, Co-Founder & CTO of Crowdhut, the first, full-service pre-and post-crowdfunding solutions provider which offers turn-key solutions pre-and post-crowdfunding that includes all aspects of campaign and product preparation and management.

“We are excited about this event. This is a fantastic opportunity for early-stage companies to meet face to face with investors,” says Joe Rubin, Director of  FundingPost. Early-stage VCs are always on the look out for great ideas and this event is one of the best forums for investors to locate promising new ventures.

Meanwhile, the VC and Angel panel will deliberate hot sectors that angels and VCs look for in startups. They will also give valuable advice to entrepreneurs on the best ways to reach VCs and other investors.  Darrell Prinsell, Senior Regional Sales Consultant with TriNet, will deliver the Keynote message for the Angel and VC sector. Kevin Pianko of WeiserMazars will  moderate the panel. The panelists are:

Brad Kayton, of LaunchPad
Todd Belfer of Canal Partners
Eduardo Emanuelli, Angel Investor
David Horowitz of Genacast Ventures
Douglas Roth of Connecticut Innovations
Ryan Armbrust of ff Venture Capital
Kathleen Murray of Executive Forum Angels
Brian Model of Stonehenge Growth Equity Partners
Murat Aktihanoglu, Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator
Jonathan Hakakian of SoundBoard Angel Fund

There will be more time to network with the investors during the cocktails. Before the event, there will be an optional pitching workshop during lunch. This optional workshop will help participants on how to make that clean and concise elevator pitch.
