Ignite.Inspire.Empower - 12th Annual Conference with Keynote Speaker Greg Smith, The Strength Coach

PHOENIX - Oct. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Phoenix, Ariz. – Greg Smith, author, radio host, and motivational speaker, will headline the 12^th Annual Diversity Leadership Alliance conference, set for 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, November 1, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.

Smith is author of “On A Roll: Reflections from America’s Wheelchair Dude with the Winning Attitude.” He also was the subject of the PBS documentary film “On A Roll: Family, Disability and the American Dream.” He created and hosted the nationally syndicated radio show “On A Roll: Talk Radio on Life & Disability” from 1992 to 2006.

In his keynote at the DLA conference, “Silencing the Negative Voice Within,” Smith, who has muscular dystrophy,  will not dwell on his physical challenges, but rather will reveal three tactics he uses to silence the inner negative voice that sometimes leads to failure and to embrace positivity.

The second annual DLA Diversity and Inclusion Awards honoring businesses and employers that exhibit outstanding diversity and inclusion strategies, and six plenary sessions by world-renown facilitators will round out the conference, which in past years has attracted more than 1,000 participants.
