Tea Party Reacts to Congress Abrogating Responsibilities

Group Issues Open Letter to Federal Representatives of Northern Virginia

MANASSAS, Va. - Oct. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Reacting to Congress’ vote of Wednesday, October 16 to continue the reckless insanity posing as fiscal policy in Washington, D.C., the Manassas Tea Party, on behalf of its hundreds of members issued a frank and forthright open letter to the four Congressional representatives of Northern Virginia.

“We are profoundly disappointed that our own representatives who purport to represent the best interests of Virginia joined with those who would perpetuate a deeply flawed law that is devastating our economy, healthcare and individual liberties, and that demands a debt-exploding blank check from the American people” said Manassas Tea Party Chairman Dan Arnold.

“In addition to our membership we believe this letter gives voice to many millions of like-minded Virginians who are seeing the deleterious effects of this fiscal malfeasance that is hastening our slide into the liberal utopia where we would be all but mere creatures of the state” added Arnold.

The letter closes with an appeal “that all elected men and women of courage will stand now for Liberty and decency.  Stand up to lies and corruption.  Stand up for the Constitution, the legacy of freedom bequeathed to all Americans and for the great commonwealth of Virginia.”
