Oct. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Fright Fest returns to Six Flags Great America (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/attractions/5381-fright-fest-at-six-flags-great-america.html) every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between now and October 27. This month long event not only involves the park’s décor becoming much spookier, but also includes a variety of scary and fun Halloween themed activities to take part in alongside the normal offering of thrill rides found at the park during the summer. Adult general admission will run $32.50 to $64.99 depending on the day and whether or not the tickets are purchased online.

This year’s Fright Fest is broken into two parts, “Thrills by Day” and “Fright by Night.”

Thrills by Day is the more tame part of Fright Fest, and includes many fun activities for children. For example, in addition to the normal child oriented areas of the park, there will be an area for trick or treating and a sing along performance called Scary-Oke specifically for the young ones. There will also be other performances going on that are more appropriate for people of all ages including musicals like Fantome and the award winning Love at First Fright as well as other types of on stage performances like live hypnotists and monster makeup demonstrations to name only a few.

When the sun goes down the more intense half of Fright Fest, Fright by Night, begins. The main staple of this part of Fright Fest is a number of haunted house attractions that have been set up throughout the park. Visitors can experience terrifying scenarios like zombie infested woods, a haunted manor, or an asylum in which the inmates have taken control. Prospective attendees may want to note that the Fright by Night activities have their own admission independent of the park and thus increase the cost of attending. A Scare Pass, which allows its holder to visit any of the haunted attractions as many times as desired, will add $20 to the park’s general admission price.
