Free Country Apparel Company and Waypoint Films Team-Up to Show How to Stay Warm, Dry and Happy!

BOULDER, Colo. - Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Boulder, Colorado, October 15, 2013/ -- Waypoint Films, Inc. (http://www.waypointfilms.com), a leading video production company based in Boulder, CO, was tasked with producing a :30 second television spot and three online videos for Free Country Ltd. outerwear apparel company. Working hand-in-hand with Director Kevin Emmons, Waypoint Films collaborated to execute the motion aspects of the campaign, which stayed true to Free Country’s fun and iconic “zip-in/zip-out” TV commercials with their catchy original songs.  Waypoint also provided the still photography elements of the campaign, using photographer Jason Innes.

Free Country selected Waypoint Films based upon a positive past working experience with Director Kevin Emmons, combined with Waypoint’s leadership in the active-wear and apparel space, producing content for the likes of Nike/Jordan and Keen Footwear. "We were under a tight schedule, had very specific budget restrictions, and we wanted a production company with extensive outdoor filming experience. Waypoint Films fit that description.” said ­­­­­­­­­Free Country’s President and Founder, Ira Schwartz.

"Waypoint Films and Director Kevin Emmons faced numerous challenges to pull off the shoot," said Free Country's Schwartz.  “They faced logistical and weather challenges for shooting at A Basin Ski Resort which entailed getting 30 cast members and crew up the mountain." Waypoint Films used snow cats and snow mobiles to transport people and equipment up and down the mountain before and after the resort’s working hours.  A second roof top shoot took place in downtown Denver, CO. "The end result was fantastic!  In spite of difficult conditions and a very ambitious schedule, Jed Mortenson and his team were able to deliver top notch spots, which we feel encompass the overall spirit and guiding principles of Free Country," said Schwartz.
