Oye Crepes Announces New, Healthier Fast Food Effort

FLINT, Mich. - Oct. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Peacock Spice Company announced the launch of their new, healthier fast food chain, Oye Crepes. The restaurant will feature fresh custom sweet and savory crepes, waffles, paninis, rice bowls and drinks.

“Crepes are a perennial favorite anytime food in Europe, where they can be bought hot off the griddle, filled with fresh, tasty and healthy fillings, “said founder Smita Ahluwalia. “We felt there was a niche for a new type of convenience restaurant where we strive to bring you the same European flair along with an unbeatable American twist – a winning combination for a great anytime meal or dessert.”

Although there are many fast food chains, Oye Crepes is a leader in the trend towards healthier eating, offering nutritious, healthy products.  Each plain Oye Crepe contains only 1.5g of fat and the fresh fillings (spinach, mozzarella, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, fresh fruits and more) make it healthier and tastier.  Oye Crepes’ innovative concept means every crepe is made right in front of the customer with the freshest of ingredients.

Oye Crepes recently opened their first retail location in the United States, in the Genessee Valley Mall in Flint, Michigan. Other malls are being considered for additional retail locations in the coming year. Oye Crepes is also available for catering family and corporate events, and providing product at area shows and festivals.
