Matt Haynes, Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator for VHS and Matt Hall, Instructional Technology Teacher for Bedford Public Schools will present the Fundamentals of Collaborative Instructional Design. Using VHS’ 18 years of experience nurturing productive communication among stakeholders, Haynes and Hall will teach attendees VHS’ award-winning instructional design best practices so that they can easily implement projects, such as alignment with common core standards and flipped classrooms.

“Instructional design has become more difficult in recent years as additional technologies have been introduced and cohorts are working from many different locations,” said Haynes. “We intend to teach educators how they bring these projects to fruition without compromising quality.”

VHS’ mission is to provide students with access to high-quality online and blended learning experiences, while supporting educators with the professional development and services they need to provide an effective 21st century education to every student. VHS partner schools have access to over 190 core, elective, and AP® courses that inspire, ignite and deepen learning as well as enable students to develop independent learning skills, explore college majors and careers, earn credits and participate in global classrooms.
