SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Oct. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- BIG ARTS is pleased to host the 22nd Annual International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA) Juried Exhibition and Symposium from October 19 through November 30, featuring an artists reception and awards presentation in Phillips Gallery on Saturday, October 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. Both the exhibition and reception are free to attend and open to the public. The reception on October 19 will include a birthday celebration for ISEA founder Maxine Masterfield as well as $10,000 in monetary prizes awarded to the winning artists.

Since 1991, ISEA http://www.iseaartexhibit.org/ has been promoting the creation and awareness of experimental art. Experimental artwork is innovative in concept, attitude, technique or materials and the mission of the ISEA is to create an environment where contemporary visual artists can come together to share ideas and take risks. ISEA exhibits are held across the U.S.  as well as internationally.

In addition to the annual juried exhibition and symposium, the ISEA joined forces with the National Watercolor Society (NWS) to present an international exchange exhibit. The Wales International ISEA show will premiere at BIG ARTS Founders Gallery on October 19 and will be on display through November 30. The exhibit will then appear at the NWS Gallery in San Pedro, California, before traveling internationally to appear in Wales in August 2014 at Art Central, Town Hall Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Like the 2013 ISEA Annual International Juried Exhibit and Symposium, the 2013 ISEA/NWS Wales International Exchange Exhibit will be free and open to the public at BIG ARTS from October 19 through November 30.
