Aaron Wendt Started racing Minisprints when he was 14 years old and moved to the full size 360 Sprint Cars at the age of 18.

Aaron’s first experience in a 360 Sprint was at age 14, when he wheeled his Uncles (Mike Wendt) #9M Sprint Car for a third place finish at Black Hills Speedway in the mechanics race at the end of the season. This was quite an experience for Aaron as it was the very first time in a 360 Sprint and secondly this car was driven by Marlon Jones for several years!

Since then, Aaron has become a very seasoned driver on all race platforms with wins on small high banked 3/8 dirt tracks to the wide open ½ mile race tracks.

Empire Auto Racing has been visible on tracks for several years reaching from Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and even to Knoxville IA.

The Wendt Family has a history in racing which dates back as early as 1957.

Kenny “RED” Myler, (Aarons Great Uncle X2) was Crew Chief and Car Owner of Lee Petty at the very first Daytona 500 as Lee Petty won the first of the Daytona Series, which have been the very conception of today’s NASCAR Circuit.

Aaron is a Second Generation Auto Dealership Manager/ Owner at Empire Auto Brokers in Rapid City as his Father and Uncle, (Brian Wendt & Mike Wendt) founded the business in 1996. In September of 2011, Aaron Wendt moved into position as owner of the Rapid City Store, Empire Auto Brokers.

Aaron is married to his wife Jasmine, and has two children, Nicole, and Isaiah.
