High Swartz Partner Melissa M. Boyd Serves as Commentator for Superior Court of Pennsylvania Session

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- NORRISTOWN, Pa. (October 15, 2013) – High Swartz LLP, a general practice law firm based in Norristown, Pa., announced that Partner Melissa M. Boyd (http://www.highswartz.com/attorneys.php?action=view&id=10) will serve as one of the  commentators for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania en banc session being held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Superior Court Courtroom on the 17^th floor of the Penn Mutual Building, 530 Walnut Street in Philadelphia.  Five of the six arguments being heard by the full bench of nine judges will receive commentary by Boyd and attorney Joseph R. Podraza, Jr. of Sprague and Sprague in Philadelphia.

As commentators, Boyd and Podraza will be alternating by case to provide relevant background information for a taping that will be covered by Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCNTV), to inform viewers of the cases reviewed in the en banc session.  The Superior Court of Pennsylvania is one of the two statewide intermediate appellate courts, often serving as the final arbiter of legal disputes.

Boyd concentrates her practice on divorce, pre-nuptial and post-divorce agreements, as well as child custody and support, equitable distribution, alimony, adoptions, protection from abuse and juvenile law.  She is also a current member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations, as well as the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court for Family Law, and frequently presents on family law topics to these organizations as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.  Boyd is a graduate of Washington College, and received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
