Chief Minister assures support to Campa Cola residents

HYDERABAD, India - Oct. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Mumbai, October 15, 2013: In a bid to save their homes from the axe of demolition, residents of Campa Cola Compound today met Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and he has assured residence of his full support.

Various prominent personalities like Mangal Prasad Lodha, BJP MLA; Shaina NC, leader from BJP; Anil Desai, Shiv Sena MP  and Rahul Narvekar leader from Shiv Sena joined the residents in their plea to the Chief Minister.

“Chief Minister has given assurance to Campa Cola residents and said he will support and help the residents in whatever way possible within the legal framework to save their homes. He has asked the Campa Cola residents to submit a legal representation today itself in order to take further steps” explained Mr. Anil Desai, Shiv Sena, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha post meeting with CM.

Today morning around 8.30 am over 200 residents from Campa Cola wearing black had gathered at the Chief Minister’s residence to make a plea to CM and appealed to him to use his discretionary powers to save their homes.

“We are pleased that the CM has offered his support in the fight to save our homes. He has expressed compassion to our plight and assured us that he would do everything under the legal ambit. We have pinned our hopes on the CM now and expect a positive outcome” said Nandini Mehta, a resident of Campa Cola.
