Fulcrum Olympic Project Shortlisted for Utility Industry Accolade

Fulcrum, the only independent utility connections company covering the whole of Britain, has been announced as a finalist at the 2013 Utility Week Achievement Awards for infrastructure works completed at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

SHEFFIELD, U.K. - Oct. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- The event, the largest of its kind in the utility sector’s calendar, celebrates outstanding achievement in the industry by recognising exceptional businesses and individuals.  Fulcrum is shortlisted under the Capital Project Management Award for utility works delivered for the Games, including the design and installation of the gas connection to the iconic Olympic Cauldron.

On announcement of the finalists, Fulcrum Operations Director, Ian Foster, said: “the Olympic project was a unique in every way and possibly the most complex any business in our industry will ever face. We are delighted that over fours years of intensively challenging work has been recognised by reaching the finals of the Utility Week Achievement Awards.”

The Sheffield based business was one of the first organisations to be granted a licence agreement enabling it to promote its contribution to the Olympics under the London 2012 Supplier Recognition Scheme. Winners will be announced at the 2013 Utility Week Achievement Awards ceremony in London on December 9th.
