Suncorp Helps QLDers Get Retirement-Savvy at Brisbane Retirement & Lifestyle Expo (18-20 October)

BRISBANE, Australia - Oct. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Suncorp Advice will help Queensland’s over-45s get savvy about transitioning to a comfortable retirement, as an exhibitor at the 2013 Brisbane Retirement & Lifestyle Expo from 18 to 20 October.

Held at the Brisbane Showgrounds, the event provides information, ideas, help and inspiration to current and future retirees on how to make most of this exciting stage of life.

“In these post-GFC times of financial uncertainty, the Expo reflects the continuing importance and growth of Queensland’s Baby Boomers and mature age population entering retirement,” said Stephen Daly, Suncorp's Head of Advice.

“Suncorp’s purpose is to help ensure Australians have money when they need it most, both during and after their working years. We’re committed to showing our customers the value that financial advice can bring to their quality of life in retirement.

“Our financial planners at the Expo will be happy to chat with Queenslanders about all things retirement.

Suncorp’s friendly financial planners will be available at the event to provide visitors with a better

understanding of the options available to Australians in retirement, covering topics such as:

·         Transitioning to retirement

·         Growing and protecting your retirement savings, and

·         The role of financial advice in preparing for a comfortable retirement.

Visitors can also access Suncorp's Retirement Simulator at the Suncorp Advice booth, to find out whether their retirement savings are on track, and discuss potential opportunities to give them a boost.

More than 10,000 people are expected to attend the popular annual event, which features more than 100 retirement service providers exhibiting their services and products.  The Expo will open from 10am - 4pm daily.
