EL PASO, Texas - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Crudexx Petroleum targets Methane in Carbon County, Utah, holds lease estimated to contain a $40 million recoverable gas reserve.

Crudexx Petroleum Company ("Crudexx") has begun developing its JLIB lease located in Carbon County, Utah. Crudexx will target the Black Hawk formation which rests roughly 4000 feet below the surface. The +1,000 acre lease is located north of Helper, UT and is estimated to contain over 9 bcf of recoverable gas - Coal Bed Methane (CBM)..

The CBM will be recovered through drainage systems constructed by drilling a series of vertical and horizontal wells directly into the coal seam. CBM wells are usually drilled and completed in a relatively short period of time, generally a well will be completed within 72 hours.

The ultimate recoverable reserves for individual CBM wells within the play range from 1.5 to 4 bcf.
