Mercator Advisory Group Announces Ronald Mazursky as Director of Debit Advisory Service

MAYNARD, Mass. - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Mercator Advisory Group, the leading independent research and advisory services firm exclusively focused on the banking and payments industry, announced Ronald Mazursky as the new director of the Debit Advisory Service. Mazursky succeeds Patricia Hewitt, who has been appointed Vice President and Managing Director of Mercator Advisory Group’s Consulting Services.

Mazursky, a 30-year veteran in the payments industry, holds a wealth of knowledge, contacts and experience domestically and abroad. His endeavors include product strategy/implementation, product and market trending, customer and general market research, product and service development, portfolio management and new account acquisition, activation, retention, rewards and loyalty, and vendor/partner evaluation and support.

Prior to joining Mercator Advisory Group, Mazursky held senior positions at payments industry consultancies Market Innovations, Novantas, Edgar, Dunn & Company and Card Associates. While at Edgar, Dunn he created a series of groundbreaking syndicated consumer studies called PaymentDynamics, which married consumer payment product preferences with underlying individual risk/behavioral data.

Mazursky’s earlier corporate experience includes senior management positions in consumer payments at MasterCard Inc. and JPMorgan Chase. At MasterCard, Mazursky ran the worldwide services business and product development function. At JPMorgan Chase, he held various positions with responsibility for new credit card account marketing, product development and product management.

Mazursky is co-founder, board member of NYPAY Inc., the premier payments industry membership organization comprised of senior payments industry executives and innovators.

Mazursky has a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
