Pinchers Crab Shack Kicks off Stone Crab Claw Season in Lakewood Ranch, FL

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Stone crab claw season officially starts October 15th and as the second largest purveyor in the country, Pinchers Crab Shack at Lakewood Ranch Main Street is ready to kick it off – big time!

Stone crabs will be available on October 15th, the first day of season, at all Pinchers Crab Shack locations. . Guests can purchase claws to eat at any of their eight locations, or purchase some to take home from one of their in-store seafood markets.

Pinchers Crab Shack is the ideal place to experience stone crabs this season with “you can’t fake fresh” as their company motto and a main focus on superior quality control. As the largest retail stone crab purveyor on the West Coast of Florida and the second largest in the country, they own Island Crab Company, a seafood wholesaler and distribution facility in Pine Island, Florida.

Knowing that stone crabs are the only renewable resource in the water, Island Crab Company expertly crabs our local waters for Pinchers providing their customers the freshest product as they control the seafood from the water to the table. Guests can purchase claws to eat at any of their seven locations, or purchase some to take home from one of their in-store seafood markets.

Later on, Pinchers will host their 2nd Annual Stone Crab Festival on Saturday, November 2nd. All day from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. attendees will enjoy a block party with live entertainment, activities for the family – and of course, lots of stone crab claws.
