LOVELAND, Ohio - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- RecruitMilitary (http://recruitmilitary.com/), the country’s top full-service, military-to-civilian recruiting firm, and MFV Expositions (http://www.mfvexpo.com/), producer of leading franchise events worldwide, have recently announced an exciting new partnership to educate veterans about small business ownership and expose them to franchisors seeking to recruit qualified veterans into their systems.

MFV Expositions will create a franchise village (a roughly 600-square-foot area) at RecruitMilitary veteran job fairs (https://events.recruitmilitary.com/). MFV Expositions team members will be on-site representing six to eight different franchise concepts.  In this way, franchisors seeking veterans to join their systems will be able to have a presence in the “village,” without the expense and time of sending their own franchise sales team to the event. Instead, MFV staff, which will be fully educated about the franchise concepts prior to the event, will be on hand along with printed panels, visual collateral and detailed brochures about the investment opportunities.

The first franchise village will appear at RecruitMilitary’s veteran job fair on October 31 in Atlanta. Other franchise villages will appear at job fairs in Philadelphia on November 7, 2013, and in Dallas on November 14, 2013.

“With this agreement, we hope to act as the conduit between veterans and franchisors,” said President of MFV Expositions Tom Portesy. “Franchisors recognize the unique skills that veterans bring to the small business world, and they understand that finding a career in civilian life post-military can be difficult. We want to minimize the challenges that veterans face during this process and generate qualified leads for franchisors.”

“Owning a franchise is a viable career choice for enterprising veterans,” said Mike Francomb, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Candidate Services.  “Our hope is that this partnership facilitates the connection of veterans inclined to own a business with the right franchise concept.” Veteran-owned and operated, RecruitMilitary is no stranger to the franchise industry, but Francomb believes this new alliance with MFV Expositions will significantly increase opportunities for RecruitMilitary members.

Veteran-owned franchise openings reported last year rose to 11,469 compared with 6,081 in 2010. Franchisors actively seek those who have served because they are often exemplary franchisees with robust leadership skills, dedication to teamwork, strong initiative, process-oriented mindsets, and a respect for the franchise model. To further aid transitioning veterans, franchise organizations have created incentives and programs such as the International Franchise Association’s VetFran (http://www.vetfran.com/). Created in 1991, VetFran encourages entrepreneurship for veterans through financial incentives from franchisors (more than 580 participate) among other initiatives.
