Witnessed the Shoemaker and his Elves cleverly crafting shoes, or gnomes diligently seeking the earth’s treasures? Lantern light glimmers amid the trees as groups of kindergarten and nursery children journey through a pumpkin-lit path during the annual Magic Forest Journey made possible by teachers, parents, and 5th grade students. For 20 years, young students at Waldorf School of the Peninsula (WSP) have experienced the wonder of the Magic Forest Journey. This year, WSP will hold the Magic Forest Journey at it’s middle and high school campus at 180 N. Rengstorff Avenue, Mountain View from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. Children ages 3 to 7 accompanied by a parent are invited to attend this enchanted evening. Tickets are available for $5 per child and must be purchased in advance. More information and tickets available on our website, waldorfpeninsula.org. If you chose to come in costume, please avoid media character costumes, facemasks, and any facepainting that could scare young children when seen in the dark. Waldorf School of the Peninsula was established in 1984 by a small group of parents and educators, who were motivated by the great need, in the highly technological area of Silicon Valley, for a school that addresses the heart and will as well as the mind of the child. WSP currently serves approximately 320 students in our nursery through high school programs. End
