Shadow Minister Discusses Sales Survey

COVENTRY, U.K. - Oct. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Toby Perkins, Shadow Minister for small businesses in the UK, will be presenting the findings of the largest ever survey conducted for the sales profession in the UK. The report was conducted by industry standard the ISMM (Institute for Sales and Marketing Management) who are the leading association for sales professionals in the UK.

MP, Toby Perkins will lead the discussion about the results in the first coffee break of the UK annual sales conference, Successful Selling held this year in Coventry on the 17^th October at Ricoh Arena.

The discussion will take place between 10:45 – 11:30 as a breakout session and will be free for all to attend in addition to having a look around the exhibition element of the conference.The 2009 sales survey was used by the sales industry, media & academics and has helped sales employers to realize what truly compels & encourages their sales teams.

Toby Perkins is Labour's Member of Parliament for Chesterfield (Derbyshire) who was elected on May 6th 2010, he left school at 17 to work in the telesales and continued on to work in the private sector for his entire career before entering parliament. Eventually he set up his own business in 2008.  He believes that an ability to sell well can make or break a fledgling business and that the British economy can gain a competitive advantage by embracing sales.

ISMM would like to invite any sales person to participate in the 2013 Sales Survey. They’re hoping for over 1,000 participants who will give who will help them generate a real understanding of what it’s like to work in the ‘sales industry’. In addition to it being discussed at the Successful Selling Seminar next week, it will also feature in the November edition of Winning Edge, the ISMM’s membership magazine. The final results will be ready for release by the end of October 2013 and all those who participated will receive a free duplicate before its official release.
