The Factory Theatre Welcomes Emergenza To Its Stage

MELBOURNE, Australia - Oct. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- The Factory Theatre is a beautiful old theatre that has become one of Australia's most popular venues for live music. It doubles as a comedy theatre and a pop music venue. It is regular stop for up and coming bands competing in Emergenza. The Factory Theatre is situated in Marrickville.

The theatre is dedicated live entertainment. It hosts an array of live music and performances - from international rock concerts to intimate cabaret shows, film and dance. The Factory prides itself on nurturing emerging performers.

Emergenza is the worlds largest rock festival for up and coming unsigned bands. It holds concerts in more than 150 cities around the world. It features up and coming bands from across the globe.

The festival is held in elimination rounds in different countries throughout the year. The first rounds are decided by the attending audience. The vote is open and the audience can vote as many times as the want for as many bands as they choose. The final rounds are decided by a jury panel of professional judges.

National winners are flown to Germany for the international finals at Emergenza's expense. The international finals are held each August at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Bands competing in the international final have the honor of sharing the bill with some of rocks biggest stars. The international winner is crowned the "Best Band in the World" and wins a tour, promotion, studio time, musical instruments and much more!

Five bands will take to the stage at The Factory Theatre to compete; Alternative rock band Psyrens, blues rock band Boson Higgs, grunge band Cicada, indie rock band The Puppets and reggae band Ocean Alley.
