HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet and Ryan's Put Top Performing Managers in the Driver's Seat

GREER, S.C. - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Buffets, Inc. – parent company to popular steak-buffet chains HomeTown^® Buffet, Old Country Buffet^® and Ryan’s^® – recognized twenty-two of its best General Managers with the ultimate prize:  A brand new car!  Through the company’s Company Paid Vehicle (CPV) Program, these stellar managers, along with top corporate officers, recently convened in Las Vegas to celebrate the successes of these managers, who all demonstrated a substantial increase in profits from last year.

“We are pleased with the company’s progress on a variety of initiatives and this dedicated group of managers led the way,” said Greg Graber, Chief Operating Officer of Buffets, Inc. “We are honored to recognize these leaders who are playing an integral role in reinventing our company.”

Twenty of the honorees will receive a free one-year lease on a new 2014 vehicle of their choice: Nissan 370Z, Ford F150 XLT, Chevy Camaro coupe, Chevy Camaro convertible, Volvo XC90, or Mercedes Benz CLA. Two of the managers in attendance performed exceptionally well for the second year in a row, thus earning the right to keep their currently leased vehicle, which they won last year, for another year. One lucky manager was selected at random to receive a brand new car to own. Pablo Solis, General Manager of the Palmdale, CA HomeTown Buffet, was the grand prize winner. He selected a Camaro coupe as his prize vehicle.

“The performance awards incentive program is open to all General Managers throughout our system,” said Graber. “Next year, we would love to give away car leases to every manager in our system.  If they win, our company wins as well. ”

In addition to recognizing these top-performing managers, the CPV event also serves as a platform for the top minds of Buffets to come together and share new ideas and concepts. This gathering provides an opportunity to help improve current programs and explore areas for growing the company and its brands.
