Imbesi Christensen wins hearing on behalf of former Chase employee

NEW YORK - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorneys Brittany Weiner and Vincent Imbesi, of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented a former employee JP Morgan Chase Bank NA ("Chase").

Chase notified the Department of Labor that the former employee voluntarily left his employment without good cause and should not be entitled to unemployment insurance benefits. The Honorable Michelle Burrowes issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after an in-person hearing was conducted.  The decision affirmed a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee had a valid reason to terminate his employment with Chase.

Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determination holding the claimant eligible for benefits is sustained.   The employer's [Chase] objection, contending that the claimant voluntarily separated from employment without good cause, is overruled.

The claimant is allowed benefits with respect to the issues decided herein.
