Last year, Willowsford was recognized as “Community of the Year” in their first year of opening. This year, the 4,000 acre community with 2,000 acres of open space including a farm and 40+ miles of walking and biking trails (in addition to many other amenities), has expanded to include The Lodge at Willowsford with a large fitness center and demonstration kitchen.
The many amenities at Willowsford include two resort-style pools, a 7-acre stocked lake with fishing pier, and boathouse, dog parks, and a second community building with fitness center and demonstration kitchen is currently under construction. Wood for these buildings has been mostly milled from timber on the property at the Willowsford saw mill. Other builders in the community include Arcadia Communities, Beazer and Mitchell & Best.
