"Sportfolio" On Bloomberg TV This Week Focuses On Building Stadiums, Building Brands

NEW YORK - Oct. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- This week’s new edition of “Sportfolio” on Bloomberg TV, the sports industry’s only  weekly show dedicated to the business of the game, focuses on building, from state-of-the-art facilities, to the stewardship of a pair of thriving athletic brands.

Host Rick Horrow is joined by Bruce Ratner, who discusses the success of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in its first year, its impact on the larger Atlantic Yards development, and his upcoming project to renovate the Nassau Coliseum. Horrow takes a hardhat tour of the $400 million renovation in progress at Daytona International Speedway with Daytona President Joie Chitwood.  Marc Player, CEO of Black Knight International, discusses how he manages the brand and business of his father, legendary golfer Gary Player. Horrow also speaks with Maurice Levy, head of marketing for one of streetball’s original brands, AND1. Levy talks about the relaunch of the basketball apparel and footwear  lines for the company, and how AND1 is re-connecting and expanding its position in the highly competitive basketball space.

This week’s show airs Thursday night at 9:30 PM and 12:30 AM ET Friday on Bloomberg TV (DirecTV 353, check your local cable systems for the channel near you). The show reaches more than 270 million households through first-run and syndicated airings.
