Auriga PSN Onboarding Services simplify admittance to Government Network

LONDON - Oct. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Auriga Consulting Ltd (Auriga), the expert data, ICT and security consultancy, today launched its range of Public Sector Network (PSN) Onboarding Services to enable Government departments, public sector organisations and third party suppliers to take advantage of the PSN. Users wishing to transition to the network, those selling PSN available services and those seeking formal accreditation via the RMARD process must negotiate a complex range of processes and mandatory compliance, codes and accreditation requirements before being admitted to the community. Auriga’s PSN Onboarding Services guide organisations through this process by assisting with framework documentation, compliance, prescribed technical architecture, service management and security policies, which are delivered by CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS) Consultants and Technical Architects who are familiar with these requirements.

The PSN (https://www.gov.uk/public-services-network) has been developed as part of the Governments ICT Strategy with the aim of significantly reducing the cost of communications across the UK government and will enable joined-up and shared public services. The PSN will see the creation of a single logical network, which provides an assured network over which government can safely share services (including G-Cloud services) to collaborate more effectively and efficiently. To enable further enrichment of the PSN community, suppliers of services will also be able to offer accredited services to the PSN community via the network of networks model.

PSN Onboarding Services enable public and private sector organisations to join the PSN and exchange services. Public sector bodies, from Government departments to organisations, can use the PSN Onboarding Services to connect to the network and the Government Secure Intranet (GSi), as can those wishing to supply G-Cloud Services that are PSN Connected, such as IL11x/22x (or the Government Security Classification Policy) or IL33x. PSN Onboarding Services are also available for third party suppliers such as Direct Network Service Providers (DNSP), PSN Service Providers (PSNSP), PSNSP application Service Providers, and G-Cloud Service Providers, and can cater for varying impact levels.

PSN Onboarding Services offer assistance through the entire application process, including:

·      Gap Analysis – assistance in understanding the areas that need further focus to meet the PSN Code and mandatory requirements, including maturity against ISO27001 or Government IL3 accreditation controls (i.e. HMG IA Standard No.1 and 2 Baseline Control Set)
·      Documentation – advice upon and assistance with the completion of appropriate PSN Code Template and the gathering of supporting documentation
·      Forward planning – assistance in producing a roadmap to achieve successful authorisation for connectivity
·      Support and prioritisation – for the production of the appropriate evidence to support the process for connectivity and/or accreditation of services.
