Lake Placid Author Slated to Speak at Political Event in South Carolina

AIKEN, S.C. - Oct. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Mack Payne, an award winning speaker from Lake Placid has been tapped to speak at the Rally in the Alley.  It is a political event sponsored by the Aiken County, South Carolina Tea Party to be held on October 12 with a primary goal of increasing voter education.

The Aiken County Tea Party was founded in October 2010 with a mission to promote adherance to the U.S. Constitution. Its motto comes from Sam Adams: "It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

Speakers at the event will cover various political issues and include challengers for the seat held by Lindsey Graham, U.S. Senator from South Carolina. Payne was asked to speak about his recent book “Vietnam Veteran Memoirs” and how noteworthy issues from the Vietnam War Era relate to current developments in the world today. He will offer suggestions on how to approach current situations based on his experiences during the Vietnam War Era.
