JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Oct. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Susan Newman Design Inc. is turning 20!

Susan Newman is celebrating 20 years in business as a brand visibility designer and marketing director.

Susan Newman Design Inc (http://www.susannewmandesign.com/)., specializing in innovative branding and design for businesses, entrepreneurs and creatives, opened in fall 1993.

Building on stellar work as an art director/designer for Macmillan, Penguin and other top publishers after graduating from the School of Visual Arts, Susan Newman kept her design studio focused on serving the publishing industry during its first few years. But from 1996 on she expanded into designing websites and marketing campaigns, executing total package branding.

For the past several years, this New Jersey-based businesswoman has defined herself as a brand visibility designer – a hands-on master communicator who shows companies and individuals how they can build their presence globally across all media.

Susan recently debuted her Books and Branding (http://booksandbranding.com/) website, devoted to serving authors with everything from designing their books to developing promotional strategies online and off. Always on the cutting edge, Susan is proud to have designed the website for Barack Obama’s second book, “The Audacity of Hope,” issued prior to his 2008 campaign for president.

Susan writes about branding and marketing — she is a contributor to the just-published bestseller “Self-Promotion Sucks (http://booksandbranding.com/books/) (but it doesn’t have to)” and currently is working on her own book. She is a guest blogger for Udemy, Your Tango and Social Buzz Club.

Proving that when businesses help each other grow everyone succeeds through greater visibility, her website Broadcast Louder (http://broadcastlouder.com/) features more than 50 webinars with guest experts sharing know-how about branding and marketing and entrepreneurship.

Her three-year-old website Branding You Better (http://brandingyoubetter.com/) features a wildly popular series of written interviews in which entrepreneurs discuss their paths to success. Some 75 interviews have been posted so far.

Susan’s live Internet radio show, Suzy Brandtastic (http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/126288), on Talkshoe.com, has a growing audience and gives entrepreneurs a voice in sharing what works. Some 40 shows are available as podcasts.

Susan’s library of video tutorials on using WordPress (http://www.ehow.com/search.html?s=susan+newman&skin=corporate&t=video) are available on eHow.com, and her courses on Udemy.com include one on the steps any entrepreneur can take to achieve “Superhero brand visibility (https://www.udemy.com/10-video-tips-on-brand-visibility/)” by mastering all media and being one’s true authentic self.

Susan’s environmental organization Frogs Are Green (http://frogsaregreen.org/), founded in 2009, is dedicated to raising public consciousness of frogs as living indicators of the future health of the planet. She is currently promoting the site’s fifth art contest for elementary school students 3 to 12 years old around the world. Earlier contests have drawn hundreds of entries from more than 27 countries.

Not only has she designed the branding and web presence for businesses and organizations of all sizes, Susan created the logo and print marketing for the 9/11 Memorial Fund and the identity for “The Hop” transportation in the City of Hoboken.

Susan supports the arts and rebranded Actors Shakespeare Company of Jersey City as well as designed posters and signage for many of its productions. Since 2004, she has proudly designed posters for three productions a year at Hudson Theatre Ensemble.

Having designed more than 1,000 books since the mid-1980s, some of her favorite assignments have been “The Baseball Encyclopedia,” James Earl Jones’ autobiography,

“The Armchair Traveler Series,” and most recently “Celtic Teas With Friends” by Elizabeth Knight and “WILD: Young Poets on Northwest New Jersey.”

The Art Directors Club of New York, Desi, Graphis, the Print Regional Design Annual, the Society of Illustrators, and Graphic Design USA are among the organizations that have honored Susan with awards for her graphic and website design work.

“It’s been a busy 20 years, and I’ve seen huge changes as the digital revolution has transformed so many industries,” Susan says. “I do what it takes to stay at least one step ahead of most in branding and media communications, so I am always able to put my clients on the straightest path to success. Being open to innovation is key.

“With a third of the workforce starting their own businesses today and with some projecting that will increase to one-half by 2050, my expertise and guidance will continue to be in demand.”

Susan is an active member of the international women’s business organization Savor the Success, and NJ Tech Meetup. She is a member of and media advisor to the Hudson County Coalition.

She lives in a pet-friendly home on a noisy street in Jersey City, N.J., and enjoys the Caribbean, Colorado and Europe as vacation spots. Susan is a Yankees fan and you bet she was there cheering the last time her team paraded up Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes as world champions.

And now she’s celebrating her own milestone in marking 20 years as an independent design professional and a pioneer in the field of brand visibility.

Susan is available for interviews at (201) 420-8205, or contact her through her website SusanNewmanDesign.com (http://www.susannewmandesign.com/).
