GLENDALE, Calif. - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- littleBits announced the Rolling Robots team as the First Prize winners of the 2013 Global Makeathon at Maker Faire New York on Saturday, Sept. 21st, 2013. There were 17 cities and over 60 projects submitted in the competition held on Sept. 14th, 2013. The Rolling Robots team - August, 8, Jack, 10, Dorothy, 11, and Josef, 11, joined other participants in a Google+ Hangout to discuss and showcase their projects. The project theme, “bring your city to life,” inspired the Rolling Robots team to create Project “Hollywood” to represent the city of Los Angeles.
